Kuwait Photos: Experience Kuwait Culture (Part 2)
Kuwait photos vividly show the culture of Kuwait. Are you ready for one of the many available jobs in Kuwait?
Look at that view...it's amazing. Kuwait is truly an incredible country. If you are ever lucky enough to get one of the many available jobs in Kuwait, you will be able to see these Kuwait photos for yourself!

Kuwait is on the Arabian Gulf, in the north-west portion. It borders Iraq and Saudi Arabia, and is just a short flight away from Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.
To get there is a long journey. I generally traveled through Detroit then on to Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. From there I entered Kuwait.
You must have a visa to go to Kuwait, either a working one or one that states whom you will be visiting.
It is a Muslim country and visitors are expected to adhere to Islamic standards. However, it is quite liberal in many ways and I always felt completely comfortable (no - I never had to cover up or wear an abaya!).

Kuwait is a great place to live and work, and there are many available jobs in Kuwait.
These Kuwait photos show only a small part of what Kuwait culture is like. The Middle East is a region you have to experience personally to fully appreciate it!

Kuwait Culture: Beaches in Kuwait
Messilah Beach...beautiful. This beach is right off Sixth Ring Road and was across the street from my husband's apartment. Many expats also work at hotels for Kuwait jobs.
It used to get so hot in the morning that the sand would burn your toes. We used to go to the beach very early and be done by 10:00.
There are some lovely hotels along Messilah Beach. The New Messilah Beach Hotel has chalets and service suites. Jumeirah Hotels and Resorts has a new hotel along the beach, and it is gorgeous!
The hotel industry in the Middle East is always looking to hire. If you are wanting to find jobs in Kuwait, this may be the way to go.

Kuwait Culture: Food
The food in Kuwait culture is very similar to western fare in many ways. It is also completely different.
The first thing I had to get used to was not eating as much junk. The Sultan Center had all the same foods I was used to eating (very similar to a Kroger's or Meijer's), but for a price - more than my teacher's salary would justify.So...I ate like a native.
That's when I discovered shawarma.
Shawarma is a type of wrap sandwich made from juicy halal meat that has been slow roasted on a spit.
It is wrapped in pita or flat bread, filled with cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, tahini and/or hummus.
That was my Kuwaiti culture fast food, and there is nothing else like it (this is also one of my favorite Kuwait photos!).
You can also go to the Old Souk to get food. I used to love visiting the "date" man (how about next Tuesday?) and getting a kilo of Medjool Dates.
